Hmmm diversity.

Tom Waits, well, he's Tom Waits.

Fela Kuti, one of the inventors of Afro-Beat.

The Monks, a bunch of G.I.s playing in Germany during the 60's, they are the anti-Beatles and I love them for it.

Funkadelic, George Clinton and Bootsy Collins, a match made in heaven.

Dr John, see if you can find his early stuff, particularly Gris Gris.

Get a "best of" of Blood Sweat and Tears. I like their early stuff more myself but they had good stuff throughout their career.

Patti Smith, you should own Horses.

Bruce Springsteen, you should own Nebraska.

edit: You like country? You know about Gram Parsons right?

Well, I listen to quite a bit of rap. Nothing mainstream, however.

I reccomend these three artists.

And my personal favorite because he brings a southern flavor to rap.

The Killers put out stuff that has always done well with mainstream.

I also recommend Flogging Molly. It is something between punk/alternative, and Irish folk themes.

I have recently become a fan of Silver Sun Pickups, but you have to be prepared to hear a really high voice for a dude singing.

recommend me something good, I listen to everything except scream-o, mainly country and classic rock though, I'm just tired of listening to the same song, so maybe you know someone who isn't well known or something, idk, just tell me who you like or specific songs you like. Thanks ;)
