Slayer would definitely be the best starting place. They're the classic everyone knows and loves and one of the most influential bands for extreme metal period (alongside Venom, of course). They fit the definition of " some heavy, screamy, fastpaced crazy music" to a fucking T.

What? No mention of one of the classics yet?

Can't say "metal" without including Judas Priest.

If you're looking to wind people up I recommend Opeth. Songs often start with some melodic stuff and then BANG!! The contrast should make people jump.

You said no swears, so I'm not entirely sure if this crosses any lines...

This stuff isn't sweary though. :D

I've got plenty of screamy music though.

Heavy, screamy, fast paced...
Sounds like you want thrash more than heavy metal!

Gogo Overkill!
Master piece album. Though it might have a few curse words here and there.

Ironbound might fit better if it's to get people pumped up however.

Just play this song, it's half an hour long, doesn't start off like heavy metal and completely brilliant.

Whenever someone starts a thread like this, I always say the same thing. DEVIN TOWNSEND IS YOUR MAN!

Whatever you're in the mood for, he has an answer for you. You want brutal as fuck, fast-paced and screaming like a madman? Go for Strapping Young Lad or the album Deconstruction under the Devin Townsend Project.

Indeed! Painkiller is great if you're looking for something fast paced, as it is in fact, faster than a laser bullet!

I'll hand some of my favourites:

Some of my humble suggestions. These ones are kinda mainstream, I admit - but might not be a bad place to start if you're new to the genre: they were the ones that my friends told me to listen to all those years ago. I've never regretted listening to a single one of them.

Here's a comprehensive list!

Screamey? You're not looking for heavy metal my friend. Unless it's hair metal but that's semantics. Here's some good stuff and their respective genres. If you like what you hear, try looking more into that subgenre. The idea is that there are lots of subgenres and all of them are different from the last.

Band Examples: Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath
Band Examples: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer
Band Examples: Thor, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister
Band Examples: Ensiferum, Moonsorrow
Band Examples: Kamelot, Grave Digger, Symphony X
Band Examples: Epica, Nightwish
Band Examples: Rammstein, Ministry
Band Examples: As I Lay Dying, Trivium, All That Remains, Avenged Sevenfold (early)
Note that not all metalcore has swearing, I just love this song.
Band Examples: Cannibal Corpse, Carcass
Band Examples: Amon Amarth, Falchion
