So, I'm unable to go to any festival this year (which is sad, considering Pendulum (my favorite band) are pretty much playing everywhere) so I'm looking to go to some good live shows in the near future. My list so far is:
Pendulum (DJ Set or Live Band, couldn't care)
deadmau5 (As I couldn't go to his 4x4=12 UK tour because I was at Pendulum's second leg of Immersion UK tour)
The Prodigy (looking at live video's, do I need to explain why?)

Oh yeah, I'm in to pretty much every genre, so fire away.

I might see Pendulum next weekend, if I get friday off from work :)
Last year I missed it, because... too busy getting drunk, and had only arrived to the town where the rock festival was held.

Rammstein is pure fucking gold. Awesome pyrotechnics, and everything else.

Actually one of the best gigs I've been on, was Black Eyed Peas, in 2002, I believe. Might've just been the atmosphere, plus the girl I hooked up with in the crowd, but anywho; good mindless fun, back then at least.

I could throw a few awesome Finnish live bands, but I'm guessing those would fall on to deaf ears. No pun intended.

I really liked 50 Cent and Kanye West. 5-6 years from those, but still, great shows if you're into that kind of music at all.

Definitely worth it, make sure you have some water for after, you get fucking knackered. And I've heard alot of good things about Rammstien, I'll be sure to grab tickets if they hit Preston or Manchester. Not really in to 50 or Kanye to be fair, more of a grime man ;)

Only seen four bands(headlining, I can't recommend any of the opening bands) live and I can only recommend two. Iced Earth and Blind Guardian both put on great shows and have some songs that the audience make so much more metal/awesome. I have no idea what their touring schedules might be though.

In case you are wondering the other two bands were Dragon Force and Heaven and Hell. Dragon Force was meh. Heaven and Hell was fucking awesome, but Dio isn't with us anymore ;_;(saw them the summer before he died). I love that man, so metal.*throws up the horns*

Muse are renowned for being an amazing live act. You should see them, if you can afford it.

Also,

Edit: Adabesi Shank are supposed to be very good live, as well.

I would have been able to see Modest Mouse live if I was able to recruit some friends to come too.

Grumble Grumble.

if you like this kind of music i guess i shouldn't have to tell you to see these guys, because you already know about them, but I'm a whore who likes to think having a high post count makes you cool.

My mates going to Reading just to see Muse perform Origin of Symmetry for the last time, so I'm coming with him when they have another UK Tour.

And So I Watch You From Afar seem good from that video, but they'll probably play at Uni venues, which is no good considering I'm 14 :(

Yeah, it was a toss up between deadmau5 and Pendulum, I was going to Pendulum with two of my mates whilst my two other freinds where going to deadmau5. I was invited but I already had spent my money on deadmau5 and my two freinds who where going to deadmau5 had a fallout and so one of them came to Pendulum with us and the other went to deadmau5 with another freind I think.

I'd definitely recommend Turisas who put on a great, fun Viking-metal show. Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden and Motorhead still put on bloody amazing performances despite advancing age.

I'd suggest Rammstein for their pyro, but it seemed a little overhyped when I saw them at Sonisphere, though the effect might be better indoors.

Slayer put on a great thrash show with some incredible, fun pits. I'd also recommend Metallica from what videos I've seen of them live, but I'll get back to you after the Big 4 show this year.
