So I am in the prospect of getting a PS3 from my brother (he got a PS4 now) the next time he come over (end of September).

Ok I more of a pc guy so I was reluctant of wanting it at first but now I think about it more, there are plenty of games and exclusive I haven't played yet so list me some good games I may have missed out.

3D Dot Heroes
Uncharted
Destiny (is this worth getting since I am into online rpg but I read mixed reception to it?)
Bioshock series
Any Platinum games (Anarchy Reign, Bayonetta, Chainsaw Lollipop etc)
Alice Madness Return
Batman Arkham series
Binary Domain
Dragon age series
Street Fighter 4
L.A. Noire
Mirror's Edge
Ratchet & Clank
Red Dead Redemption
Skyrim
Resident Evil Series
Tokyo Jungle
Transformers War and Fall of Cybertron
X-COM
White Knight Chronicles
Wolfenstein

Assassin Creed
Mass Effect (I already got the trilogy but not yet played properly)
Child of Light
Dead Space
Watch Dogs
Lost Planet
Dead Island
South Park and the Stick of Truth (I already owned)
Tales of series
Silent Hill series
Dishonoured
Guitar Heroes
GTA
Metal Gear Solid series
Killzone series
Trial Fusion
Minecraft
FEAR
Final Fantasy series
God Of Wrs
Any War related series like Battlefiend, Medal of Honour and Call of Duty
Dead or Alive series
Dante Inferno
Little Big Planet
Valkyria Chronicles
Borderlands series (I already owned)
Skullgirl (got it on Steam)

Ok upon looking at my list, it look like I know quite alot of games I want/ don't want to play but I am certain I am still missing out one or two.

Before you mention what games I'm into, I into most type of games except for sports and driving games (and I guess maybe most JRPG from my list but still mention them).

Also mentioning games on Playstation Network will be welcomed as I know little on the games available on there other than Scott Pilgrim and Journey.

Aren't a lot of these already available on PC?

Anyway, check out Pixel Junk Shooter on the Playstation Store. It's an underrated, fun little shooter where you're a tiny space ship saving miners from a planet.

Journey is a must.

Bear in mind that once in a blue moon, about as often as Steam sales, PSN throws a very decent sale online. Two sales ago I got 14 games for 99 cents each, which included:
I'm listing these because of the sale prices, not necessarily because I recommend them.

Spyro 2 (PS1)
Gex (PS1)
Tokyo Jungle
Crash 1-3 (PS1, 99 cents each)
Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse 1-5 (all five for 99 cents!)
Tales of Monkey Island (again, all five for 99 cents)
Jurassic Park, same as above but with four episodes

Still, I would recommend Journey first and foremost. It's only four hours long but quite worth it.

...

If your brother has any digital purchases, I would ask him to not reformat before he hands it over. Even if he decides to retain his PSN ID, all he has to do is remove the password required to connect online. None of his information, other than the usernames of friends, will be accessible if he does that.

If he keeps his account intact on that PS3, you'll get to access any games he's downloaded. And you'll be able to play those games as long as you're not required to be online to play them. Just create a second account for the PS3 and you'll get to play everything already on the machine.

...

As far as other recommended games, Ratchet and Clank, any of them, are worth it. Be sure to get the HD collections, not the PS2 originals. And I kinda don't recommend Binary Domain. I found it to be generic and shallow, although it IS a non-stop shooter. The Sly Cooper collection is also very fun, but it's got minor idiosyncrasies from the PS2 era that can be frustrating at times.

Oh right, and I recently picked up Kingdoms of Amalur used, which still had its DLC code unclaimed. I freaking LOVE that game for some reason. You can change your character abilities at any time as long as you have the gold (and the equipment for the new path). I'm sure it can be found on Steam though.

And if you can run Skyrim on PC, I'd stick with that instead. The framerate on PS3 only dropped once for me during a single pitched battle. And there was this glitch with water at some point that I was able to fix by deleting/reinstalling the game install.

Also, I read that people had problems with the Saints Row series on PC, but on PS3 it's a dream. It's probably my favorite series to play with a friend via LAN or PSN, which is still free on PS3. Saints 2 and 3 are definitely in my top five all time games.

Yes but there are limitation to my pc. (One or two specs doesn't meet with the game spec or it will be a huge strain on my pc when I install it.)

Good called, I better message him not to reformat his online account (I'm certain he got one cos he had played Journey in the past).
