Serj Tankian - Elect the Dead

The live version of the album (the one with the symphony orchestra) is nothing short of epic. The original album I just find a bit too strange (yeah, I preferred SOAD)

I am a fan of both of them tbh. Too bad I never got to see SoaD live though, would have been awesome!

Minus the Bear - Highly Refined Pirates

These are for the lighter side of the musical spectrum, y'know, full of catchy riff and other fun stuff. Imo, the Vampire Weekend albums are pretty much flawless, I like every track on both albums. Highly Refined Pirates is almost as good, I personally recommend "Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Hotel" and "Spritz! Spritz! Spritz!" (their songs also have cool titles).

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós.
The video below is, according to me, the best song on the album.
It's called Viðrar Vel Til Loftárása, which means 'Good Weather for an Airstrike'.
The whole album is not just music, but true art.

hmmm... the ending of the song got cut off. Pity.

The whole of Agaetis Byrjun (spelling?) is just... lushously breaktaking. I hate defining something as "art", but by god, anything Iceland musically produces is mind meltingly gorgeous.
