Like a lot of people I'm jumping on the Scott Pilgrim bandwagon. I love the music in the film, but can't find any bands with a similar kind of sound.

If you haven't/don't want to see the film then this is the sort of music I'm talking about:

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Wait, I'm confused....

Do you want people to recommend you any bands or bands that play that kind of music?

EDIT: I would recommend Disturbed to anyone, anyday. Go and listen to their song.... DO IT NOW!!

A lot of the soundtrack of the movie was done by Beck (he did all the Sex Bob-omb songs), Broken Social Scene and Radiohead's producer, Nigel Godrich.

Otherwise, Pavement, Modest Mouse, Pixies, Weezer, Yo La Tengo, TV on the Radio, Guided by Voices

Also, this is the song the comicbook is named after, I'm pretty sure these guys don't have any other good songs...

WE ARE SEX BOB-OMB

Check out Radiohead.

But if you're at all interested in more heavy music...

I've say it once, I've said it 8 times, Does It Offend You, Yeah?
Awesome indie-electronic-rock-thing. Their official genre is, according to them, whatever.
Their second album's just gonna explode when it gets released.

Pendulum and Enter Shikari, in equal measure. Both take varying froms of inspiration from Rock and Electronic music, and both blend them together in highly different and equally pelasing results. Plus they are both amazing live, for different reasons. Enter Shikari are more haphazard and wild gigs, often messing about mid song. Pendulum are the opposite, pin-point perfect performances (Tongue-twisreeeeer!) but equal amounts of a lot of energy in both's music. If you listen to either, seeing them live is just as essential to buying the studio albums.

Um, I don't know what you are asking. Do you want me to recommend similar music or just a random band I enjoy?

If it is the latter, I would definitely recommend the Arrogant Worms. They are one of the reasons I love Canada, particularly Western Canada.

Yeah, I'm asking for songs with a similar kind of style to the ones used in the film. And thanks for your recommendations, now I need to get my YouTube on.
