I don't believe in the concept of "indie" bands, I don't think such a thing really exists. And I'm hesitant to recommend music that sounds like the music you're already listening to, because what's the point? However, if you can tell me what it is exactly that you like about the bands that you've listed, I can probably come up with some recommendations.

Sleigh Bells are noise-pop, they're really catchy. You actually should try a site like Pitchfork which will give you some great bands to listen to since they're based around your music taste.

Good call on The Wombats! Amazing live band!

I dunno if I'd call Train indie but they are a pretty good band. I write/photograph indie bands so I know quite a few :) bands I'd recommend are:

The Parlotones
General Fiasco
Everything Everything
The Joy Formidable (more grunge/alternative, but really amazing band)
Two Door Cinema Club
We Are Scientists
Ash
Bombay Bicycle Club
Delorentos
Phoenix

Hope you enjoy these! If you'd like some tracks or a mix of these bands and others feel free to let me know!

Spoon (one of my absolute favorites)
Julian Casablanca (the singer from the Strokes solo album)
The Chambermaids
Eagle Seagull http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrFExaYMiUg (acoustic version)
Little Black Stereo
Shiver Shiver
The Airborne Toxic Event

P.S. I love this thread!!

Edit..
If you like club like / techno music go for The Faint, but I wouldn't call them indie

YES YES YES to A Place To Bury Strangers, a bit more grunge but definitely a band you can indulge yourself into.

Also I'd go as far to say Julian Casablancas solo record is better than anything The Strokes have ever done. I don't hate the band and not trying to troll but I've always wondered what made people regard them as so amazing. Casablancas record though is quite impressive in a structural and production sense.

I'd also recommend Dan Black, hes a fuse of alternative, pop, electronica, and hip-hop.

Heres a tune of his

Actually a few days ago I posted a top 10 list of albums and singles from last year. Here is what I thought to be the best. If you look at the text you'll see the list contains links to the youtube videos of the singles, enjoy!

Hmm, 'Indie' music. My opinion is that it all sounds the same and is vile, but then you said you thing QOTSA are Indie so...hmm...

Anyway, one band I like according to my definition of Indie is called 'Yearbook'. They have a free EP called 'All Squares and Circles', so maybe you should give it a listen. Heck, it's free!

Also, Vampire Weekend are supposed to be good *shrug*

Editasaurus: Mind you, you said you're running out of new bands to listen to, so why not try a slightly different genre of music?

Actually, also, an Indie song I love is 'Taping Songs Off the Radio' by 'Lower Than Atlantis'. It's great live, too ^_^.

Minus the Bear
Fleet Foxes
Vampire Weekend
Metric
Spoon
Young the Giant
Morning Benders
Dismemberment Plan
Dispatch
Arctic Monkeys
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Florence + the Machine
The Slip
Mumford & Sons
Radiohead

They're all fantastic. I'd put Modest Mouse up there too 'cause it's one of my favorite bands, but you already have 'em up there TC.

Edit: Also, I'm just suggesting band I'd think you'd like from your original list, not specifically "indie" bands.
