Right, here's the deal. I need a new laser mouse for gaming and forum lurking, and having little-to-no knowledge 'bout laser mice I decided to ask The Escapist community (which is bound to have a couple of people, at least, in the know). I have a SideWinder X5 [http://www.awd-it.co.uk/images/detailed/0/7827_Microsoft_Sidewinder_X5_2000DPI_USB_Laser_Gaming_Mouse_xl.jpg], but the blasted thing didn't survive for long. The scroll wheel got stuck as the protective layer started to peel off from heavy use.
Sadly, since I'm a picky fool, I have a few requirements for a replacement.
- Two thumb-buttons (at least, but not too many either)
- Laser (or optical as a worst case scenario)
- Wired (I'm not one for recharging batteries or similar)
- Durable scroll-wheel
- DPI adjustment through mouse-buttons
It might not be the easiest list of criteria to fulfill, but any help at all is appreciated.
