I have a relative that really likes the free card games that comes with Windows and wants more like them. He's really, really bad at computers, so it should be similar to those games (i.e. single player, simplified 2D, mouse-driven, starts right upon opening, no action takes more than two clicks). It also needs either a mute option or sound files I can remove without incident. It cannot have advertising, spyware, internet browser toolbars, or any aspect that requires the internet.
I was hoping I could get a shovelware collection for five bucks, but the only one I saw at Target and Best Buy that even mentioned card games was something called "700,000 Games" (a slight exaggeration; it's closer to 90 or so with a lot of clones, but counts every possible procedurally generated level as a "game") and that only has horribly designed Solitaire and Texas Hold 'Em. Shopping around Amazon reveals a bunch of games with 3D graphics simulating tables, which would be overloading for him. My limited online search has mostly resulted in really iffy titles, but I'll continue looking.
So, any recommendations?
