Ever picked up a game on the say so of someone on this forum?
Where they way off or did you discover an otherwise ignored gem.

On the say so of a few posters here I recently picked up Drakengard and Armed & Dangerous.
A&D is a lot of fun.
But Drakengard looks like it may not be worth my time outside of the story.

Most of my 20-odd 360 games have come from forum comments and threads, both from here and afar.

Most recent was probably Dead Space, I'd neglected to pick it up previously because i'm just plain chicken when it comes to 'horror' games these days. A thread on the topic prompted me to pick it up, and it was well worth it.

'Acquired' a number of games by digital means because of the best/favourite game threads on escapist.

unless it's a game i'm already interested in i won't buy another game just because someone else said it's good. a number of times a friend has said 'i got this new game, it's great, come over and play it' so i did and wasn't impressed.
