Have you got a PS2 because I can recommend some good RPGs.
The problem is that I'm at uni, I can't have a tv or it costs me £250 so it needs to be for the pc
im sure you can buy an adaptor to let your monitor work as a tv screen...just sayin

Right, since Final Fantasy XIII was a massive disappointment and I can't play my xbox any more, I've been craving for a good RPG for a while

However, a lot of games won't run because my laptop isn't that powerful

Windows Vista
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T7350 2 GHz Dual-Core
RAM - 4 GB (installed) 4 GB (max) - DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT - 512 MB

(I think that should be enough info)

Is there anything The Escapist community could recommend me, JRPGs are welcomed too

I've already got Oblivion and I didn't particularly like Morrowind
The classic RPG Planescape: Torment, the best written RPG of all time was just recently re-released on GOG.com, so for $10 bucks you can get what is probably the best RPG ever made.

Avernum 6. Huge open-world, turn-based combat on a grid, great customization (you have a party of 4 preset characters, but you can reset them and make them from scratch if you want to, and change things like their race, weapon/spell skill levels, and miscellaneous skills like disarming traps, or automatically restoring health and energy after fights) means mucho replay value.

Chrono Trigger could keep you occupied for a long while (DS, PSX, and SNES)

I'll be honest with you I completely forgot about that but it's only a laptop but I still need to share my consoles with my little brother back at home. Overall it's just much more practical for it just on my laptop
