Recycled Characters

It seems in every game these days the Protagonist is either a Super Soldier or a Rebel, and The Antagonist is either a terrorist leader, an alien species/parasite or a rouge government. They might be good bad guys but they just get old after a while. Any suggestions for new characters or at least a unique spin on the listed ones.

Also: NO TIME TRAVEL, JOHN CONNER THING!!! (However it worked in Doctor Who and The Star Trek movie.)

I agree. In my opinion, there is more variety among protagonists and antagonists in video games than most people claim.

But it's always fun to humor these threads and pitch your own idiotic ideas.

Hm, I have an idea.

You play as an Alien. You are stranded on Earth after your bio-organic space ship has crashed. You must gather genetic material in order to repair key components of the ship. You do this by hunting down humans in the city and harvesting them as biomass. You use stealth skills to sneak around the city without being seen. You have to hunt down priority targets which contain prime genetic material with which to repair your ship. Of course you must leave no evidence of your crimes, so you can not be seen at all. You also have to use genetic material to pin the murders on other members of the city to avoid suspicion.

Now I probably pulled that idea from some other game/movie/book/other thing but it's late and I'm probably not thinking straight.
