The search function is overrated and difficult to use. As long as it is not a thread that is constantly popping up, I have no problem with it. New thread means new people with possibly new responses. Also, people are less inclined I think to post and definatly read through post heavy threads. Im pretty sure most messages in the pages 7,8,9... are likely unread, short of maybe by people who post under it and see it when it loads.
And how are you supposed to get every thread with your topic? What if you dont think to search the question the way it is previously stated? The Search function is crap. Sometimes I tru to use it to find threads I saw but missed and often cant, because it is hidden under random other things or Escapist articles.
A MLP thread is overdone, sure, but many threads NEED to be dedone I think.
