Red De-- Wait, WHAT!?

I just borrowed Red Dead Redemtion from my cousin, and on the mission involving the storm and the cows, I wasn't good enough to keep the cows from falling off the cliff. As was I too clumsy to keep myself from going down with them.

Here's how that shit went down. I was falling through the air. Flailing around beside my horse, screaming all the way down, doing flips as I neared the bottom. I did a single front flip and landed perfectly on my feet, not a bit of damage done to me. Innocent of the dead animals lying around me, or even recognizing the fact that I fell of a FREAKING GIANT CLIFF.

Recap: I did a flip after falling off a cliff, stuck the landing. My horse, and all the cows that came down with me dead. Me, unharmed and seemingly unaware of what JUST happened two seconds ago.

I found that rather strange... With a side order of wierd.
How did you break the RDR sanity drive? And on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how crazy was yours?

I've fallen off a huge cliff and taken no damage on multiple occasions in RdR. A better story, however, happened when I was sleeping over at a friend's house and he was playing when I was asleep. He said he was fast travelling in a stagecoach but decided to not skip the ride. On the way, he came across a random bandit encounter. However, being unable to control his character, the bandits killed the driver and the stagecoach started going out of control. His character, sitting in the front seat, then began to spin around in circles and the coach started hopping up and down rapidly. He was then thrown from the coach and landed on the ground some ways away heavily damaged. I may have told the story wrong, but it sounded hilarious.

I don't think I encountered a single glitch throughout the entire game. Not sure if this makes me lucky or unlucky.

In multiplayer free roam, and this is on multiple occasions, after being killed my friends and I would sometimes spawn a few hundred feet in the air, fall to our deaths, and do it again, again, again, again, etc... Until we had to leave the session and rejoin it. It was both annoying and hilarious.

Depends... Cliff glitch or donkey lady glitch, lucky.
However... Cougar man glitch, or pretty much anything else, bad.

Once i was driving a coach and bailed out max speed, the resulting bail along with the akward smack into another human caused my the the unlucky npc to do vertical cartwheels for a good 20 seconds in the air.

Eh the flying broom that would just walk around El Matadero was funny as hell. I got a few others like the cougar-armadillo and my flying horse but apart from that not much.

I'd give it a 5

I was riding my American Standard black stallion hard in Mexico, and instead of bumping past another rider, I actually trampled him and his donkey.

In short, he didn't get out of my way, so I ran his ass over. Literally.

I once brought a bandit in for justice. The guy payed me, then one second later I died instantly after being penetrated by the bullet the guy who just payed me shot me with.

The first time I went into Thieves' Landing I sat down to play some dice. The instant I got up again, a puff of red mist erupted from my heart. Apparently some guys had taken exception to my existence and the saloon soon devolved into a shootout, and I had to whistle my horse down the street and get the fuck out of there as some other guys across the street started on me. Note that I didn't have any bounties and hadn't done anything to get them riled up...and also that it has never happened to me again. Weird.

More obviously bugs; when some guy I lassooed turned invisible (5), and when the game took on perpetual dead-eye slow motion properties (8).

Once I was walking around Blackwater as my own personal Marston alter-ego, The Shover. (Ever since I discovered the shove button, I've been having endless fun with it--running up to a bartender in a saloon, announcing "You'll never stop...THE SHOVER! *shove*" and running for the hills like I'd just robbed a bank as he tumbles to the floor.)

I walked past the blackjack game in the saloon and decided to shove one of the players because I didn't like his hat. All of a sudden, I was outside--and more important, fifty feet off the ground. I barely survived the fall, and I'm pretty sure I may have shoved a genie.

It was my cousin. They were playing GTA4 and they went onto that bridge you're not supposed to go on. He was riding a motercycle across and the cops pinned him to the side. Him and the motorcycle went over, bounced off the bridge below him, and hit the concrete a loooooong ways off the bottom.

I had that happen in Thieves Landing too. Aparently they just don't like John Marston.

The only thing that's happened to me was near the end where you need your dog (if you've played you know the mission I mean) when the dog ran forward and got creamed by a train. Then I heard some barking and my dog reappeared behind me.

I once got attacked by a cougar in the middle of Armadillo; I was walking from the saloon to the general store when this massive freaking mountain lion just shows up out of nowhere and knocks me to the ground. Not sure if that counts as a glitch or if I somehow pissed it off in the past and it hunted me down for revenge.

Which it didn't get because I then got up and shot it with my Mauser...

I've had a couple of "how the hell did I survive that?" falls too. One of which left me tumbling down a rocky slope for at least ten seconds, I'm sure of it.

Hey Yahtzee! I just figured out what the "Read" and "Dead" part of Read Dead Redemption meant!

"Read" Dead? I... am I missing something or is that really just that loopy? Who's reading?

Anyway, I don't have much experience with glitches in that game, though I could never win that bird shooting competition no matter how many birds I shot because the game refused to recognize my kills. More frustrating than funny.

I do remember one glitch when I was playing a Hitman game though. I was trying to crawl through the hatch into an elevator, but at that moment it got called to the bottom floor. Apparently, Agent 47 falls at the same speed as an elevator, because I hung in mid-air for like 15 seconds before touching the floor in slow motion as the screen faded into red. Essentially I died from a 7 foot fall.

Does anybody know whether these glitches are random, or if something has to be done deliberately before they can be seen?
