Red Dead. I haven't played JC2 but I played the first and didn't like it. From the reviews, the sequel looks like a whole second helping of "bleh!". Plus, the grappling hook that they advertise so much (which reminds me of the gravity gun from Half Life), apparently has a few problems according to people who have played. I'm just saying, it's not a good sign when one of their biggest selling points is so flawed. On the other hand, if you like mindless destruction, it would be a game for you...for example, if you're 12 (you shouldn't be playing either as they are both M rated) and are entertained simply by just explosions and loud noises. Now, Red Dead feels like you are in a western. I picked it up after my wife mentioned that she wanted to play "Grand Theft Horse" a few times. While her and her sister have fun seeing who can have the prettier horse (they also play story but that was their first thing to do), it has an interesting story, voice acting, choices, etc. Compare their reviews and scores.
