Well, Just Cause has a demo, so try that.

I didn't really like it, didn't live up to expectations, but again, I only played the demo.

Try the Just Cause 2 demo. I would recommend getting Red Dead. I've had the most fun in a while playing that game.

Red Dead. I haven't played JC2 but I played the first and didn't like it. From the reviews, the sequel looks like a whole second helping of "bleh!". Plus, the grappling hook that they advertise so much (which reminds me of the gravity gun from Half Life), apparently has a few problems according to people who have played. I'm just saying, it's not a good sign when one of their biggest selling points is so flawed. On the other hand, if you like mindless destruction, it would be a game for you...for example, if you're 12 (you shouldn't be playing either as they are both M rated) and are entertained simply by just explosions and loud noises. Now, Red Dead feels like you are in a western. I picked it up after my wife mentioned that she wanted to play "Grand Theft Horse" a few times. While her and her sister have fun seeing who can have the prettier horse (they also play story but that was their first thing to do), it has an interesting story, voice acting, choices, etc. Compare their reviews and scores.

I have both games, and I have to say Red Dead is much better then Just Cause 2. JC2 is good, but it gets old after a while. Red Dead stays fun a lot longer. It was better in my opinion.

Just Cause 2 on the PC. Hopefully they'll be close or at least half way to making the mutliplayer mod.

Hahaha, I was just deciding about the same question. If there's a demo out for one game, buy the
other. I played the JC2 demo, and it was cool and all, but I could play the demo whenever I want,
so I ended up buying Red Dead Redemption. So far it's an awesome game. Multiplayer extends the replay value for RDR. Smaller World in RDR, but gameplay makes up for it. I personally think the controls are harder to learn in RDR than JC2.

Bottom Line: RDR
