Red Dead Redemption 2 Confirmed.

I am amazed that no one has done a thread about this yet, so here we go. Rockstar have been teasing RDR 2 for a while now and they have confirmed it today. There will be a trailer next week and the game will be released next autumn.

I'm disappointed in the numbering. Numbered titles are trite and I'm not sure I like the idea of another redemption story. The opposite might have been nice, like "Red Dead Damnation" or "The Red Dead and Damned." I really hope you don't play as John Marston again.

Looks like they're pretending again that it's not gonna come out on PC, making people buy the game again six months to a year later. If it truly won't come to PC, I won't mind too much, since I found GTA V mediocre and RDR not much better when trying to replay it.

Hopefully, it plays more responsively and enjoyably than RDR and GTA V and has a better story. I'm sure it will have immature comedy and be dragged out, though.

Ha, I like those. Was also thinking something like "Red Dead Dickhead" (playing as hardcore antagonist this time; empathy need not apply) or even "Red Dead Puddinhead" (your character got kicked in the face by his mule horse and is rendered almost completely inept) but I doubt either of those would fly.

I agree though on things needing a change. I loved the last one's world but Marston's affability and gullibility really started to get on my nerves. He couldn't have turned that much of a leaf, and how many damn plants must be gather for that old slippery goat anyways? Favor after favor and what did he get.

GUN is still my favorite western themed game.

because pc got the previous RDR...? On top of that, Rockstar constantly puts shit out super late for PC if at all, so I'm not surprised, and I'm wondering where these PC masturbators are...I really haven't seen any lately.

Red Dead Re-tread?

A re-tread? I find that repugnant. Though at least it's not a reboot, so Rockstar thus remains reputable. But I've rambled too long, so it's time to stop being rambucious, and reflect on the revelations of a Red Dead game, while I reconsider repatriation for reneging on my lack of reason in resorting to using words that begin with "r."

I want to see horseback riding that won't make me sick to my stomach. I had to quit the first one because of that. It was a real disappointment for me.

I really want them to listen to my idea and not just make it a straight up prequel but do it in a Godfather 2 kind of way which is part John Marston's story and the second part Jack Marston's story. It would be interesting to have Jack Marston forced to join world war one since that is hinted at in the newspapers that it will soon be happening.

Just replaying RDR on Xbox360. Never finished it but it's definitely a great game. Not R* best but it still rocks.

The original was an awful experience for me.

The main character had a dire turning circle and felt sluggist to play. The auto-targetting system meant I could switch off and not have to try in combat scenarios. And the boring, empty, dull open world interested me about as much as Nepal's most commonly used stamps.

I've also totally gone off the GTA series since the 4th installment. These games just aren't fun to play anymore, and Saints Row 4 really reminded me how exciting and in your face a real game of this ilk can be.

Hope RDR2 takes some cues from SR4 and doesn't give us another game which prioritzes realism & story over action, fun & gameplay.

I came here to join in the criticism for the title. I hope it's a working title and they will actually go with Red Dead Revolution/Regret/Revenge/Return/Responsibility etc.

This might be unpopular. But I'd to see alongside a robust story driven campaign, something like GTA Online. Were you create a custom character, make money in the West, buy horses, guns, property etc. Run missions with other players. Gamble and gun fight.

I have a lot of fun with GTA online when I'm with friends. I know it has a poor reputation around these parts, but I never saw how GTA with friends could be bad.

I never used auto aim. Look in the options. All of Rockstar's modern games let you turn it off.

I thought Saint's Row IV (and 3) was garbage. Nothing other games should aspire to.

SR3 was pretty average IMO, but I loved the OTT super-powers & style of SR4.

Is the auto-aim the same "lock-on" option which targets as you zoom in?
