I want to know from the people who brought Red Orchestra 2 your opinions on it. I bought it myself and think its good but weapons balance needs major major work.

Aw man, I pre-purchased that like a month ago and completely forgot it was released recently. Thank you for reminding me, I was just so used to seeing it as the only greyed out game on my Steam list.

Gunna install it now. TO GLORY!

Well the weapons aren't really supposed to be balanced, they're going for more of a historical re-creation than a fair game most of the time.

There is still quite a bit of work to do on the game in my opinion, but I see the foundation to a great game and lots of good times, now if only people stopped picking fallenfighters so often...

Axis do seem to have the advantage most of the time from what I've played. Other than that slight gripe, it's quite a refreshing change from CoD style FPS.

Having some great fun with territory in particular at the moment. Those moments where the gunfire stops and you get a dozen or so opportunists making a mad dash for the objective area can be pretty spectacular. Had one earlier this evening where two fire teams went together in a staggered line and, just as they neared the wall outside the building, half of them were blown sky-high by artillery and half of those that were left limped up to it bleeding to death. Those that were left in fighting condition got in somehow and set up the rest of us to take it though.

I played it a bit today. It gets a bit tough to figure out at times, but the gunplay is still very satisfying (like all Tripwire games, really). I've been really enjoying it.

My biggest gripe is the fact that most ranked servers doesn't work yet, meaning you can spend hours racking up experience and weapon levels... And then have it all be gone by the time you enter a new server.

Considering I'm going to have to kill several hundred people in RO2 before I even get the first noticable weapon upgrade (such as the PPsH drum-mag), it feels like the game is punishing me for no reason when it doesn't register me toiling like a madwoman to get kills as the assault class.

I like it, I just find it weird that none of the pre-order bonuses are showing up for anyone (not sure if they fixed it, I haven't played in like a week). Also, the Russian campaign is kinda stupid. I mean, you defend a town hall and the Germans have a reinforcement time of around 1 and a half minutes. You have to hold the hall for 3 minutes and your reinforcement time is... 3 minutes. I mean, shouldn't that be the opposite? I know they have to make it challenging, but aren't they even trying for realism.

Oh, it changed. Now everyone has access to the exclusive unlocks for those who bougt the deluxe edition. It is quite apparent at this point that RO2 could have used another month or two in development.
