I love how most rant threads end up being ironic. People are lazy in spelling and grammar, this is a fact of life. If it upsets you so, become an English teacher and force it down the kiddies throats.

Use the proper conjunction.

I mean, this is much too silly! We must have less sillyness!

Everything needs more cowbell.
...Or Monty Python.

But back to the topic at hand, I have taken a note of that good sir and intend to spread the good word.

So did I funnily enough. It really pisses me off when people misspell relatively common words for some reason...

I have to admit, out of the beatings the English language receives and claims it "fell down the stairs" to its friends as in excuse about, I friggin' hate rediculous and they're/their/there.

On that note, I see people type "definately" and "halarious" quite often. Stuff like that breaks my heart...T-T

Ironically this misspelling of "ridiculous" happens to grate me the most for whatever reason. It is not so much the error, yet the belief many people actually believe they have spelt it correctly.

Are we supposed to talk about people who misspell words? Because you do realize that you misspelled "write" as "right", right?

EDIT: Ninja'd, but I made a hilarious* pun, so it's okay.
[small]*May not contain actual hilariousness.[/small]
You mean 'hilarity'...
Damn, I knew there was an actual word for it. Well played, sir, well played...

Also, is this just turning into a thread full of people pointing out others' grammar/spelling mistakes?

I get irritated when people use the wrong there/their/they're or hear/here.

I felt faint reading this (I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume english is not the author's first language): http://off7.org/temple_of_the_ancients/advent_children/the_gray_wolf.html
