"Well, when she wakes up, she isn't gonna be happy about that," Renard said, now relieved he got in her good graces when they met, accident or no. Well, at least I'm not going to be totally alone. "Wait... does anyone know anything about dealing with broken bones? Because if we are taking her, she might be less apt to kill you if we help her."
"Well I know Wolschleger's has" or maybe had at this point "painkillers, and as for the splint, well," Renard said as he looked around for something to use for a splint and saw a couple of wooden mops. "We could cut those up and cannibalize my extra shirt, that might work."
Marcus put Alice down and picked up the mops.

Marcus took the Gunblade from the ground, cutting the shirt into strips, he put the mop on top and below the ankle and tied them on using the strips.
"God I hope this works."
Marcus then picked on Alice's arm and placed them along it, then secured it using the remaining stripes.

"Will do." Renard felt like breathing a sigh of relief as he was finally on his way, but decided against it. At least I'm not alone this time, he thought as he once again made his way towards Wolschleger's, only this time leading others.

Fortunately, Wolschleger's wasn't that far from where the group first met, so it only took about 20 minutes to get there. Once they arrived, Renard said, "OK, I'm taking Alice to the drugstore to get some medication. You guys get in there and stock up on food." As he went into the drugstore, he noticed that the door was open, so odds were there was probably somebody else somewhere inside. He set Alice on a bench while he looked for something that would dull pain when Alice unexpectedly woke up.

"What the bloody damn hell? Where the shit is this?" Alice didn't raise her voice, just pleasantly muttered her ponderings. And then she was unlucky enough to remember she was still in considerable pain, and started counting sheep to try and take her mind off it. "One sheep, two sheep, three sheep, four sheep... Shit! Crap! Damn that sheep to hell!" Alice reached for her gunblade to wave it around maniacally, only to find it wasn't there. Alice was sad now.
"We're in a drugstore. It's the closest thing to a hospital in the immediate area, and we're right by the grocery store, so we can stock up on supplies there. Here, take some asprin. It should help with the pain until we can find something better."
Renard handed her two tablets and a glass of water.
"Oh, and if you're wondering about the gunblade, one of the guys you attacked took it. No offense, but nobody else really trusts you enough to not kill us in our sleep."

"Hahaha... Left for Dead... Hahahahahahaha... I like you... I suppose if we were being technical, the fourth person I saw was that dog, so..." Alice was beginning to regain consciousness. "Maybe you don't need to die, after all..." In an odd way, this seemed to be Alice's method of expressing gratitude. If she was willing to put off her own crazy obsession with the number four on a mere technicality, she must really have taken a liking to Marcus.

Renard then made his way to the grocery store before the other two noticed he was still there. Not realizing just how hungry he was, he started taking some of the meat from the deli section and making a turkey sandwich. About halfway through, he saw a display for a new soda.

He turned to one of the other people in the store and asked, "Have you ever tried that?"
