"I require drinkage, for Alice is thirsty!" The headcase declared, skipped over to where the cans were and grabbed one. She downed it in one, held the can up and hummed the tune from Zelda when you obtain something from a chest. "Doo-doo-de-doo! Alice obtained refreshment! ...Oh, wow, this is odd... Why do I suddenly feel like I can burn things with my mind?"
"Ehr... John, are you feeling OK?" Renard said as John seemed to be slowly encased in ice. What the hell is going on here? He decided it would probably be best to abstain from drinking any of this stuff until he knew he wouldn't die because of it.
"How 'bout you, Marcus? Do you feel... unusual?"
"Well not so much unusual, but more, I feel my mind has got more strength than my body."
Marcus looked to the rest of the refresh, and lifted five bottles up, using hand motions.
"Well, this is interesting."
Asher picked up a can of the strange soda, and began drinking. Suddenly, he was overcome by a feeling that he wasn't there anymore. He looked down, and noticed something. He couldn't see himself anymore. Just then, John launched a spike of ice at an A/C unit.
Marcus unscrewed the top off the bottles of Refresh into all the others hands.
"Well, my assessment is, the fallout has given us a strange reaction to the liquid inside, meaning we gain superpowers."
Marcus drinks more.
"hey it's not cold anymore. hmm, I wonder, if I can shoot ice, maybe..." John releases a huge blast of water in a direction where he thinks nobody is. Water starts dripping off what looks to be thin air. "I can see you now, well not YOU you, but you know what I mean."
"This is weird. Hmm, let me try something. Come here Dogmeat!"
At his call, Dogmeat trotted over to Asher, and Asher took the can of the strange soda and poured some into the dog's mouth. Dogmeat began lapping it up, and almost instantly began to grow to the size of a horse.
"OK, John, it's not the AC, you've turned into what basically amounts to Iceman. Asher, nobody else can see you, and Marcus, put the dang dog down before it gets peeved. I don't know about Alice yet, though I don't doubt her original assessments are accurate. And I'm not touching the stuff until somebody gives me a very compelling reason to."
Renard sighed and took a swig. Nothing happened. One minute, nothing happend. Two minutes, nothing happened. He downed a whole can. Nothing happened.
"Well, that was rather anti-climac*AAATCH..." And just like that, Renard vanished without a trace.
