whether it will be good or bad I was going to buy MoH i have now cancelled my pre-order and am now awaiting the update. I am doing this in a way of attempting to gain some from of protest that they should finish 1 game before releasing another. it may not be very effective but im hoping to make a point to dice. So who is with me?

i will also be posting this in 2 other forums to at lest attempt to get some attention from dice.

What needs updating in BC2? I haven't played it in a while now but it was great several months ago.

Gameplay changes:
Revive invulnerability removed(and starthealth of 50% or so?)
AT4 weapon balance
UAV on White Pass crashes into trees on first use
Being shot only affects the model and animation not the aim. It should recoil the aim too
No aim assist on knife
smoke(veh. perk) needs to be already built into vehicle and not a unlock. Or make the lock breakable with good flying.
Balance AA and VADS
accuracy of LMGs should be reduced
brightness in vehicles needs to be adjusted
C4-Bug (sometimes can't be ignited)
tracerd darts need to be affected by gravity
Shotguns with 12guage that are able to snipe halfway across the map needs tweaking.
Remove team kill when u get out of helicopter in hardcore mode.(or any other FF servers)
Bullet outcome on the right side not on the left.
Blackhawk mingun increase rate of fire, decrease bullet damage slightly(its a chaingun, not a 50.cal BB gun)
Only 50 cal Bullets should be able to shoot you out Helicopters(thru windows etc of choppers.
a better roadkill detection for the atv
Remove instant reload if you parachute/start swimming in the middle of reload animation
invisible "walls" in several maps removed (or getting stuck on invisible objects forcing you to jump to get going)
Possibility to change grenade launcher for example to tactical fore grip. (Too much tubes on the field!)
More recoil so spraying wouldn't be so effective.
Helicopters control more like BF2, these are too slow and turn slowly
Engineer could remove mines like BF2
UAV on some maps needs to be moved to gain some cover.
Splash from the UAV missle needs to be a little more damaging to infantry.
UAV with Possibly the ability to self repair if it lands near the UAV station
Slug+magnum shotgun nerf
Countermeasure should counter homing missles
Remove the face-shield on the Heavy MG
Either decrease the actual detection range of the motion mine, or increase the size of the pulse on the map.
Add turret direction indicator for helicopter gunners just like tanks have.-(or such as BF2 had)
Idea: make vehicles perks work for both passengers (I mean when one person has alt fire and the other v smoke both passengers can use alt fir as long as the person that has it is in the vehicle.)

Server related Issues:
VoIP
C4 does not always work

Calling a UAV strike sometimes doesn't work (no missile, only cooldown - since patch)
Sometimes when in chopper the flares dont remove the tracer, so yer dead...
History and favourite server tabs are still very inconsistent, mostly greyed out and unavailable even though they are active servers on there.



Client related Issues:
Blue chat box square on some PC's and settings
Reload text in the middle of the screen
No vertical line on GOL Sniper reticule
Performance is still terrible on some systems, especially when firing with the APC the explosives can deliver as low as 10 fps. Also in the middle of a mortar strike or dark smoke. This simply is not right, none of the other games have this issue.
When you use Grenade launcher weapon RDS or acog sight dissapear.
when using the scope and you zoom in it, it auto un-zooms but stays in scope mode. This is a new bug with the latest patch
Choosing spawning point or on squadmate always changing on random events of the map, forcing you to reselect your spawn selection several time and most of the time ending with spawn in main base.


General Issues

Horn isn't audible to other players
Black screem is back again, i didn´t get it since first patch you made, but since last one i get it sometimes, not too often now but still.
Play now doesn't work for some and needs more options
some crashes to desktop still exists.
Mcom doesnt always make the alarm sound when planted on
-if vehicle or mounted maching gun is near MCOM, players often get stuck in them, instead of disarming the MCOM stations
C4 - it kills you and not the enemy, even if its closer to him than you
Corpse indicators for medics in wrong place.
Bouncing of medi/ ammo packs when explosion is miles away.
Remove all flashing server messages in middle of screen. Use chat box with red text or something.
Fix brightness on Atacama desert
Fix inf only mode, there seems like the only removed vehicles here are the ones that spwn at the main base, all the rest are still there, try the new port valdez conquest to see what I mean.
The insignias show a wrong date (2008/01/01).
The infamous reverted yaw axis on joysticks. If it's too difficult to reproduce and fix for all sticks, then add a checkbox in the settings GUI to allow people to fix it without having to edit XML files (check = set that scale value to -1).

Ummm... can't be arsed to read all that shit but looking it over, most of that is completely unnecessary. Can't complain a game is incomplete when it is working fine... things like better vehicle hit detection, scope line, only a certain gun can kill you in a chopper, brightness adjustment, helicopter controls... etc... just sounds like whining.

Well, two maps (on one mode only) are fucked for snipers - when you zoom in with a sniper, the screen goes unbearably bright and you can't see shit. Same issue plagues the choppers in one of the maps.

Apart from that I can't think of anything wrong/missing... unless you mean the Vietnam update? Either way, don't see your point, those issues can be solved very easily and studios are perfectly capable of doing more than one thing at a time, especially when one's just tweaking multiplayer aspects.

edit: Ok, started writing a full post to reply to every one of those but seriously, fuck it. Sorry mate, I get where you're coming from on some of those but VAST majority (by which I mean 80-90% stuff you mentioned) are your personal wishes and grievances for/with the game, not something that warrants a patch. Few legitimate bugs there, aye, but very... very few compared to the entirety of your post.

There is nothing wrong with the game. People just whine and ***** how they keep releasing old maps with new modes instead of completely new maps, even though they said their not going to release new maps. I'll see if I can pull up a quote later

I don't really get your point. Isn't it a good thing that they keep supporting their previous games while they make new ones? Or are they not releasing an update? I'm a bit confused.

What you want doesn't make the game unfinished. If the developers are happy with it, it's finished, you don't have to like it. Nothing is released in a perfect state, that's a fact. That's what patches and updates are for.

How come you are releasing map packs and not "new" maps?



The idea of the VIP program was to make sure that we had a continuous flow of content to our players, to keep the Battlefield updated with new places to fight in. We also wanted to make sure these were free of charge to the people with VIP codes. The remixed maps has worked great for this but we clearly also hear the community request for new maps. Naturally these are much heavier to create from a dev stand point and hence the lead times are longer.

I stopped reading after "Remove the face shield on the Heavy MG". Seriously? Just tell your buddy with the rocket launcher to take it out or call a mortar strike in. They aren't hard to get around.

A lot of that stuff is purely down to personal preference. You can't honestly ask a developer to alter the game experience for everybody on the game to fit your own personal wishlist.

Also, in my experience BC2 is one of the most balanced, well maintained games I've ever seen. Far better so than other warfare games based in a modern setting with a number attached to the end that may or may not also be two. The only truly overpowered weapon was the M-60, and they patched that.
