So we recently plugged a hdd into another computer, we reinstalled windows, wiped the drive blah blah blah. So everything is working fine but there is no internet, no network etc. This problem was easy for me to figure out "oh, we just need to re-install the network drivers" and so we did, this is where the problem arose, it stopped installing and said something along the lines of "No intel adapters are present on the computer", now im pretty sure it is an intel adapter since its a laptop bought with an intel cpu pre-installed, if its not an intel, how can I tell and what might I be doing wrong?

The network drivers are for the network card so the cpu maker doesn't matter.

go to control panel ->System and Security- > Device manager -> network adapters.

You may see a device with an exclamation mark there or if not, right click on network adapters and select scan for hardware changes.

Find out the model of your motherboard (or laptop) and google "<motherboard/laptop model> drivers" (or check the manufacturers website) and find the Ethernet/Network/LAN driver for your motherboard that is compatible with the version of Windows you're using. Intel does make network chips however there are many models and manufacturers of network chips that appear on Intel motherboards and you need the correct driver to interface with it.
