No, you don't keep yourselves in the MLP group chat. This thread for example. And the only pony we get from you are your avatars? If that's the case, explain all the replies I see from people that instead of text, they post a picture of a pony with a caption on it as if this was an image board. Granted, the fact that they're acting like this is an image board is the more annoying thing there, but fact is that it's also a solid example of there being a lot more pony around than just some avatars.

I don't hate ponies. I hate people who can't shut the hell up about how much they love ponies and how we all should love ponies too. I hate all the "your avatar is ____", "the last thing you killed in a game is ____", "the last thing you played as in a game is _____", and so on threads too. And I also hate hearing about the cake being a lie and spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace! every time people can find even the weakest connection to what the thread is about. Doesn't mean I hate Portal.

There is no pony hate. You are not a persecuted minority.

There are only people tired of seeing pony memes inserted into threads with barely any connection to the show, and of hearing people bring up MLP at every opportunity despite knowing that most of the people in the discussion aren't interested in it.

I'd find it irritating if people started posting lolcats in every thread they could find even the tiniest excuse to. Does that make me a cat hater?

Threads like these showcase some of the reasons I am sometimes disappointed to be a part of the fandom. "Why do people hate us so much for no good reason? It's not like we've done anything to them." Get over the persecution complex. It's the real world. People like stuff and people hate stuff. MLP just happens to be the flavor of the month(s).

People who can't participate in an argument or debate without resorting to macros, or just fall back on the "just watch it before hating it" with YouTube links. Stop it. You're not helping.

thank you for summing up what i feel about this, i have tried liking MLP, as i love cartoons and i love to be open minded to stuff, but sweet jesus it makes me tear my hair out in a "WTF, this is nails on a chalkboard to me" kind of way

and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind hope or vanille at all from ff13, let alone most jrpg characters, especially their voices.

I watched the first two episodes because I was curious. The art is really good and if I had a little girl I would make her watch it, that show teaches the right lessons.

I have no idea why anyone older than 12 watches the show. I suspect that most of you are just in to it because you think that you want to be part of something. Then again I did watch the first 25 episodes of Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z because it was such a train-wreck I just couldn't look away.

The general consensus is that the first two episodes are the worst ones in the series. After that, it becomes a much more entertaining slice-of-life show, which is what the older-than-12 fans are enjoying.

Regardless, Mathew, cartoon as an artistic term, is completely subjective.

"Animation" is usually used synonymously with "Cartoon", so if you're going by that, yes all 3-D models are cartoons.

However, if we're talking aesthetics , very few sane people will tell you fox mccloud is not "cartoony", by which they mean of or pertaining to qualities of a cartoon.

OP is using few and outdated memes, some were new though. MLP(not technically a meme) is at the top, and he voted MLP himself. Looks like he just wanted to say that he's annoyed by MLP.

Nothing, I'm not OP. I didn't even want the thread to be made. I know why the show and fandom is getting all this hate.

But OP was curios because the recent "I'm sick of", "This is annoying" threads end up becoming flooded by MLP haters. If it weren't for the haters MLP wouldn't even be mentioned on the forums anymore! Except for the occasional curious newcomer that doesn't use the search bar. Getting tired of those...

It's been a while since any brony made a MLP thread.

And why do so many hate on the MLP picture posted in the critical miss comments. Sure it was big, and should have been rezised or spoilered, but don't blame the bronies for that.

Not really a fat kid being bullied... being that it's not a "physical" problem or anything

it's more like the annoying religious kid we all know who always talks about his religion everywhere he goes to the point of others getting ticked off about it, trying to calmly ask he keeps his religion to himself, and when he doesn't they voice their opinions about it, and he gets all butt-hurt because they don't follow the same cult/fellowship/belief/etc.

what's shocking me is that the pony fans are honestly surprised that there are people out there who don't like the show

I have nothing against the show itself. Haven't watched it, don't plan to, but I recognise that there are legitimate reasons for people who aren't girls in the 3-10 age group to watch it.

The thing that annoys me is how so many of the fans have seemingly modelled their entire online persona around it, i.e. avatars, quoting the show all the time, etc. It just kinda seems like they're fishing for confrontation about it, or flaunting how bizarre it is for them to like the show.
