If I regenerate, there's still something left of me. Even if it's not me walking around, there's at least someone carrying around my life's memories and continuing my life's work. Better that than losing everything.

Well, even if they are completely different bar some basic personality traits i'd go for it, it seems somewhat petty to just die and not give the next guy a chance just because he's not me. After all, I have a different face and personality to the guy I was 5 years ago. It's not really all that different, just more abrupt.

Get out of death free card? I'm finding it hard to see a downside here, I mean, sure, you're becoming a different person, but, you know, the alternative, is becoming a corpse.

I don't imagine I'd enjoy being a corpse.

So I either regenerate with a new body with possibly a new personality, or I die.

Yeah I'll take regeneration.

Would I? Definitely. No question. And I do still age normally, but I would regenerate rather than die of old age. So that's not really an issue.

I would totally do that.

I think memories and morals make up the biggest part of a person anyway, so I would have some different character traits but still be "myself" at least sort of and at the core.

At the end you choose between a somewhat new existance and not existing at all, thats really no choice at all for me.

I'll even say my own opinion.
If I died in an unexpected way, like car crash or cancer, I'd regenerate as it would have been an unfair death, your life hasn't been lived completely.
However, if I ever feel like I've lived a long life, and am tired of the world, I'd stop the process from completing.
