Regretable Decisions

In general. Decisions you've made in your gaming career that you regret to this day.

Mine:

Borrowing my FFIX to a cousin only to receive disk 4 back as a mangled mess. I could never get past the Nova dragon because game just freezes there. Every time. I haven't been able to find a legit copy of FFIX since then. ;__;

It was my first FF game, I was about 12 and literally poured my heart and soul into that game. I printed out hundreds of pages of FAQS and walk-throughs, item guides, enemy guides. I was a perfectionist. I spent hours every school night studying up on FFIX lore and mentally perfecting my game, eagerly waiting for the weekend when I was allowed 2 hours of gaming a day on Friday evenings and Saturdays only. I had about 90 hours invested into the game, so you can imagine how many months it took me to reach the stage I was at.

Then I had to go on vacation for 2 months. I lent my PSX and games to my cousin who proceeded mess up the only game that mattered to me at that time.

I spent ages looking for another copy of that game to no avail. Eventually I would just keep playing disk 3 till my team was an ungodly strong and wiped the floor with pretty much anything that randomly swirled onto my screen. But I never finished the game. Ever. It would always just freeze as soon as the fight with the Nova dragon started... everybody would just bounce around in place, waiting for the battle to commence. But it never did. Ever.

Excuse, I think I got something in my eye...

Lending any game to my friend ever, he lend them out to other people I lost my mgs3 game and black and white, also oblivion he gave it back but it does not work this happen already twice before too with my oblivion games but I've barrowed many of his games too.

EDIT: Today? oops, anyways non I have not played any games today.

I regretted getting Far Cry 2 for free, when I could have got Fallout 3.


But now I have Fallout 3 so it's all good.

Telling one of my best friends that I loved her whilst sitting on her knee. Whilst her tall, more muscley and older boyfriend sat next to us. Turns out that I didn't love her at all, I was just blinded by drunkedness.

But I got 6 hugs and 2 kisses from her when I told her all this so who's the desperate loser now?

I have no gaming regrets, not even in that abomination of a level in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed where I had to pull down a Star Destroyer.

In general I do have "regrets" where I wonder about the alternative outcomes had I done things differently, but I am happy with where I am and the path it lead me. So you could say I have no regrets whatsoever.

Excluding regretting I had not preformed certainly aspect of my current life earlier, nothing. Frankly even the aforemention I do not regret entirely because my life would have altered from what it is today and in turn I would be in a similar position, albeit there may be serious regrets in this altered reality.

Borrowed my Sega Genesis to a friend who didn't have any computer or console.... he returned it to me, in several pieces. He had an accident so... bad luck I guess

Yeah X___x those bloody vision cards took like a month to fix and the thousands of stupid bugs like "the word Colour is spelt wrong there is no U in the word" from the american testers. Some of the testing was ok though like mass breeding and testing what ate what XD

Getting the Xbox360. I how have loads of games for it, so can't really give up on the platform without suddenly having a lot less to play. But the machine is a stinking heap of crap that breaks down constantly.

If the next xbox does not have backwards compatability, complete backwards compatability at that, I won't be touching it.
