Everyone in my class is a douche so i decided i would replace my real life for these forums. Am i the only one here who sacrificed their social life for the internet?

I... don't think that is such a good idea.

You need to be able to pay for internet you know. And to do that you need money. And for that you need a source of money. And unless you can feed off your parents, you'll need a job. And to get a job you need to socialise, because you need people to hire you.

Dude, that's a terrible idea. These forums are nothing compared to real life conversation, man up and make some friends.

Or he could just dig ditches. That probably doesn't require socializing.

Dude, just find some nerds in your school. Socially awkward people make great friends for people who don't like people.

Nope, I wouldn't, the Escapist is only a part-time activity, I'm on it for maybe 15 minutes a day, and even that can bore me.

I fail to see how you were rejected from society, with an "e".

Learn to ignore the douchebags, don't just avoid them like a pansy.

I don't know why you would "sacrifice" your social life for the internet. As if the internet was some big monster....I mean it is, but still.

If everyone in your class is a douche, maybe you should consider changing class. Or if you're unhappy even changing schools?

As "MassiveGeek" said above me, you need to be able to pay for internet and therefore socialise to get a job.

how old are you? if you are in 7th-9th grade, then the fact that everyone in your class is a douche isn't surprising. that's just the way it is. if you're older than that, you probably just aren't trying hard enough. i f***ing hated people until late in 9th grade, and then i made some really good friends. even then, i still thought i hated most people. but i had to be around them, so i learned how to deal with them. and it's a damn good thing i did, because now i deal with people all the time. it's life.

Oh I get it, you're joking. I did have my suspicions. Oh well. . .
i wish i was joking.
Well I'm still pretty sure you are but on the of chance you aren't, ok.

Do not let these forums replace real life friendships and conversations. So much is lost in purely text based conversation. Also, most forum threads on here are little more than a room full of fools shouting out their ideas with no-one else paying attention. And hell, there's no reason you can't befriend a douchebag, most of my friends are douchebags and I wouldn't have them any other way.

Now, back to my original post, man up and make some friends!

Rejected from Sociaty?

Well, with that standard of spelling, I'm not surprised :p

Nah seriously, dont do that. You'll have to talk to people at some stage in your life anyways, unless you can somehow exist without social interaction of any shape or form.

Just because everyone in your class is a douche doesn't give you an excuse to crawl away from reality. Man up dude.

There's far worse in life than realizing that the majority of people are pricks that aren't worth your attention. That's a fact that everyone has to come to terms with.

You'll grow out of it.

If I had a dollar everytime I felt like a loser in highschool I could have many, many dollars.

Once you graduate and get away from all that it'll be all good. Of course, it doesn't just appear like that, you have to at least try.
