One of the most relaxing pieces of music I know, video game or otherwise.

I had trouble picking between these next two since they're just the same music with different instrumentation, so I'll put them both here.

And I have to mention one of my all time favourite soundtracks, despite the game not being all that good.

Off the top of my head, under the criteria of relaxation:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bcg3v245kgM (Golden Sun menu theme)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGCKLFsDDVw (World of Warcraft tavern theme)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OxpAqDc4JE (Xenoblade Chronicles theme)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tf7gu6hKkc (Ocarina of Time theme)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R7NOVt_DJs (Final Fantasy X ending theme)

I can probably add the Morrowind and Dragon Age themes to that list, but others have already provided the links.

I picked up the Life is Strange Limited Edition just for the soundtrack; the original tracks I put on just to relax to. Gone Home's ST though does the job better as a whole, I put that on through youtube quite often as I lie down on my bed.
I bought it for the same reason, and to force my console peasant friends to play it. I now covet one of the ultra rare vinyl record versions, but I don't like my chances of getting one.

For one that popped into my head again recently, Erana's Peace.
So calm that people still put it on to fall asleep.

The "Intermission" song from NotGTAV... It's so JAZZ!!

Other than that, there are a few tracks from Splatoon that relax me...

The lack of any Skies of Arcadia music in this thread makes me a sad person. You should all feel ashamed!

The Resident Evil save room music:

I'm pretty glad there is a free theme on PS4 where this plays on loop. Took me right down memory lane, even if it is the Remake version.

Love that series. Its one I'd love a 3rd person ARPG remake of. Soooooo bad.

I would definitely second the soundtracks from The Elder Scrolls games, Skyrim and Oblivion I listen to a lot.

I also like the ambient soundtracks from Fallout 3 / New Vegas / Fallout 4, not the radio station stuff (I do like those too, but not specifically for 'relaxing') - the ambient type soundtracks are really good for mellowing out basically.

I think Michael McCann managed to work in equal parts soothing and wondrous for the Sarif Industries background music:

There's never been a better musical accompaniment to getting stuck in an air duct.
True, though when it comes to soothing ambient, i think this song takes the McCake.
OT:
(or "Brothel for Slaking Intellectual Lusts" ambient, if you will)
Almost like it belongs to a different game.
Although this one is technically cheating, since it's not an OST:
It's a very pleasant, mellow change from a frenetic soundtrack we heard during the gameplay.

people have listed some good ones, but jesus this gets me every time.

if I could just float in space while this was in the background...it'd be straight infinite peace.

I've been listening to this, this morning, one I forgot to mention.

Probably one of my favourite soundtracks from the PS1 days, but the ending theme is great;

Most of the songs from the Streets of Rage series help me relax.

Streets of Rage 2 had such a great soundtrack. Here is the whole beautiful thing. The main theme is so good though, maybe the best main theme ever. And the ending theme will be with me forever, they got so much emotion out of the rudimentary instrument they had to use.
For relaxing, I choose you End theme! At 48:07 mins in the vid.

From Sonic 2, I actually added this to my ipod tracks because it is just so good and mellow.

Obligatory Elder Scrolls mention.

FFX has a good relaxing song.

FF9 has this gem.

Always been partial to this one from FF7.

I would listen to that every time I booted up the game, just a masterpiece.
I wish the sequels kept the same vibe, but they just didn't feel the same to me, sadly.

I don't know how this thread came so far without Journey:

Xenoblade Chronicles has already been mentioned, and while I like the main theme, I think this is better for relaxing music:
