So I picked up Red Dead Redemption on Tuesday, and have been thoroughly enjoying it since, but I've just come to a stunning realization... this is the first game I've ever bought on release date.
Usually I don't buy games on release date because of money constrictions, and I have things to tide me over until the price drops, but the opportunity for fun things to do in multiplayer was too good to pass up. (although some of them haven't come to fruition because you can't rob trains (except for that one mission). How the hell could they leave out train robberies in a western!?) It's still an awesome game, but I was really looking forward to posseing(?) up and robbing some trains. That, to me, kinda makes it not worth it.
So, what was the first game you got on release date, and why? Was it worth it?
