Release dates for games and dlc...

What is the problem, I cannot find an actual release date for any of the fallout 3 DLC, just January, whats the big problem with announcing a release date? Furthermore, games should always have a set date to be released because it usually gets moved up or back anyway!

Do you people realize that the development has no way of saying "we will be done at this point...."? Every release date is just a guess, thats why they get changed like 10 times. So instead of announcing one and then pissing everyone off they would rather just wait until they get more done.

Any number of things could, and do, come up during development. We waited a long time for F3 to come out, you can wait a couple weeks for the DLC.

Thus the reason for all the "We are looking at a Q3 2009 release" and such, it's because they don't know. It's kinda like if I gave you a puzzle and said "get it done by three" if three o'clock comes around and you're not done are you gonna.
A) Let me know you aren't quite done?
B) Just give me the puzzle with missing pieces hoping I won't care or notice?
