Almost every truly bad game I have played in the last few years has been a rehashing of some past hit trying to make it big again on the back of nostalgia. However, having said this there are some games which I think could do with a remake. What would you like to see remade/updated? For me it would be Super Metroid and Fallout 1 & 2.

I wouldn't mind seeing the original C&C remade. I love that storyline, but that game is just too old and shitty to be worth experiencing it again. I'd love seeing the same game, with everything updated for for the C&C 3 engine.

Timesplitters 2 to be on topic, because I feel it would benefit from the improvements Future Perfect brought.

Also, lurk before posting new threads, I'm fairly certain this thread has been done at least twice before. And we here don't like repeat threads.

Have they made a version of Point Blank for Wii?

If not, they should. And they should make it really, really good.

I would appreciate a 'Best of' title, combining the manic speed of the first, the awesome co-op of the second and the variety and level designer of the third, or something like that.

Future Perfect's story mode can go die in a hole, however. Unless they made it closer to the second or first. Y'know, fun.

I am Kollega, and I'm here to ask you a question: "Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?"
"No," says the man on eBay, "It belongs to the poor!"
"No," says the man on religioustolerance.org, "It belongs to God!"
"No," says the man on Youtube, "It belongs to everyone!"
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different... I chose the impossible... I chose...

A remake, huh? SimCity 4. It's one of the most complex and realistic city-building simulators to date - but 2.5D graphics suck. And it could be even more diverse and complex, really.

Silent Hill 2, definitely! The storyline was brilliant, but the gameplay mechanics such as fighting and solving puzzles were tedious and not at all enjoyable. Welcome to the escapist by the way.

Sorry if this topic has been done before but its interesting so why not. I have to agree with Silent Hill 2 it was one of those bad games I couldn't stop playing. If they took the story and added some good gameplay it would be one of the best games ever.

Welcome to the Escapist!

I would like to see System Shock 2 remade, but they'd probably fuck it up.
Wasn't that bioshock?

I think I've said this in other threads but:
Parasite Eve (Just for Graphics really)
Shining Force (But I think they'd fuck that up)
Wipeout 3
And yes I dare say it FF7, Again mainly for graphics, actually mostly so it ends up on a system I have (Well I got a PS1 but its old dusty and lost somewhere) And so my sister will actually play it and realise it's better than ff9.

The most I'd be willing to see done with Super Metroid would perhaps be a graphical update ala Shadow Complex.

I guess.

Metroid is a beautiful game already, and I despise remakes as a general rule.

Yes, Timesplitters 2 was the best console exclusive game ever.

Current gen graphics would really benefit it's stylised and colourful in-game world.
