Like no HUD or ammo counter?...yeah it's immersive and "Realistic" but I'd like to know how much ammo I have, and I know there is a topic about this already but dammit I need a health meter, not a slightly darker screen.

Edit: Also, the world isn't lit by one lightbulb in the daytime. I don't care how dynamic your shadows are I should be able to see things outdoors when the sun is out.

Games like DarkSector are shining examples of what people though would be the big trend of this generation but just turned into annoying and ugly examples of what NOT to do when making a game.

Edit 2: Before you ask, yes, this topic is made because of frustrations with the game mentioned about

Dark Sector is okay, just annoying. I had the same problem with BLACK. Okay game, just many many needless game elements that make it a pain to play. I'm sorry but having the screen blur when I reload my gun is just painfully stupid. The character may be focusing on the gun, BUT I'M NOT!

This. It was a very fun game. I enjoyed it. And didn't Dark Sector had a HUD and an ammo counter.

Not the game I was talking about with that point, but it has no health meter and terrible lighting.

Although I don't expect the average gamer to be this savvy (I'm certainly not), games without ammo counters would force you to pay attention to how many bullets are left in the gun, though like I said you'd have to do some research on the specific gun that game has.

Other than that, I agree that things like this should only be attempted if they compliment the game's challenges instead of making them more difficult than necessary.

Yes it doesn't have a health meter, but it has a CoD style health-screen color relation, which I think works better for quickly regenerating health. And yeah the lighting kind of sucks, but I have a dark TV so I just made it brighter, like I do with all games and didn't notice.

The only thing I agree with is the screen problems. Maybe it is because I only have an SD tv but holy crap they are dark. And why do you feel the need to blind me when I am dying? I got 20 enemies all trying to stick thier bullets up my ass please let my eyes function. There has to be a better way than making the screen all fuzzy or covering it in red to alert me to the fact I am about to die.
