Just thought I'd share this clever little jab.

That game with ads appealing to 12 year old boys across the world?

What about it?

What are we talking about, exactly?

As I've said before, I don't really remember these adverts because they just register as digital nothingness to me. 99.99% of adverts on the internet just use the same tactics (often the same images) and I've just become very good at subconsciously ignoring them.

Pft... stupid ad.

Really when things try to tempt me with stuff like this, it actually turns me away.

Yes, I remember it. Why?

Because the ads still exist.

They aren't even trying anymore, one just shows 2 random teenage girls in bikinis.

For the people who need a memory jog:
For a while, the internet was full of ads for a game called "Evony", usually with a scantily-clad woman saying "Play now, my lord". The game had no scantily-clad women.

This is just another company's poke at it.

We're talking about how this ad is making fun of Evony in some sort of "humorous" way, by saying that the women on the ads are actually in the game.
It still isn't that funny, even if you do get it.

What do you mean "for a while"? They still exist and are still just as stupid. Last one I saw was just a camera slowing scrolling over the body of a half-naked women. So their quality certainly hasn't changed.

I hadn't seen 'em for a while; I thought they'd died off.
