I'm not certain how much is known about this title, if it's one being hyped up, or one considered under the radar, but having seen a few clips, I'm cautiously excited about this one.

Well, I'm quite the fan of cyber-punk, and this seems close enough to that genre. I'm not willing to put in the effort in playing all the Assassin's Creed games, so this looking similar, could be a better option for me, and possibly a game to look forward to if you do like Assassin's Creed.

The only thing I'm a bit cautious about is the premise' similarity to Inception - about implanting memories in people's heads.

Anyways, what do others thinks?

EDIT: More footage.

I think it looks amazing on a visual design level but I'm worried about the gameplay. The developers have said that, despite appearances, it's not an open game at all and is really fairly linear which sort of runs contary to what I was hoping based on the trailers, etc.

Overall, I'm definitely keeping a close eye on it but am still a little far from making it a must buy.

What not even open world? Bloody hell.

Well I was about to say it's sort of a modern ass creed without any spunk to it, but I guess it's not even that.
It all looks functional but there really is nothing of greater interest, maybe they got some big trump card that will turn it all around but considering these devs are most impressed with themselves for having a non-white female protagonist it is highly unlikely they have anything more going for them.

Hey, I remeber this one! [sub]pun intended[/sub]
I don't know to much about it so I can't really go into detail of what I'm expecting without just jumping to conclutions.
Though I can point out what I like so far and what I would like from it, so I'll do that.
First of all the visuals are right up my alley so I'm highly looking forward to that.
Second, the premise of a cyber punk world with memory minipulator is just dope.
Lastly it seems unforgiving within the story, I mean that was some dark plop right there.
What I want basically comes down to Mass Effect crossed with Assassins Creed.
A great story you experience through with subtle gameplay mostly revolving around stealth and effecting someones memory through option trees. Though we have heard it's linear I hope there's multiple ways to achieve you objective or at least multiple routes you can go to get there. (Deus ex style)
If the game has a good story I'll play it, if it doesn't I won't. That will be the deciding factor.

Well my immediate thought now thanks to this very forum is this.

But yes, I am interested in the game. It has potential anyway, here's hoping it lives up to it.

Terrible writing, forgettable acting, and entirely uninspired gameplay. I'm just waiting for them to name-drop Arkham Asylum and Uncharted, which they inevitably will.

I mean really, a heavily scripted gunship chase scene. How inspired.

My thoughts exactly when I saw the initial trailer (I think it was from E3).

As am I. I'm waiting for the game to be released (or near there) and then I'll decide for a fact whether I'm more cautious or more excited. The setting seems really cool, from what I saw, so I do want to like it.

Never heard of it until now. That it won't be open world is more of a positive thing than a negative. Concessions have to be made in an open-world game, which tends to lead to the gameplay being watered-down and boring.

Don't know if I'm excited for it or not, though. Will have to wait to see more.

Lore/setting looks interesting. It all depends on how the mind-hacking works and whether it's an interesting game mechanic in its own right. From the footage I saw, what it looked like was an elaborate point-and-click-adventure style mechanic with a finite number of clickable objects on screen, where a perfectly viable strategy would be to click on each selectable object in turn to find the one that works. As much of a cool idea as it is, if the mechanics are no deeper than that, then this game will be awful.

So far so good, I like the look and the core idea, from what I've seen the gameplay looks okay but I'm still not blown away by anything I've seen yet.

Saw a video a while back, wasn't impressed from what I saw. Yeah, it could be awesome and groundbreaking and other marketing catchphrases, but I don't it will be. It will most likely turn out to be another middling action/adventure game with a couple cool gimmicks, a sorta neat art style, and a kind of interesting world. And, TBH, I already have a lot of those games, so I don't really need one more. :\

I came here thinking you were talking about a visual novel/"otome" game called Remember Me. But I watched the videos and that looks good, it could be awesome and I hope it will be as awesome as it looks. I shall keep it in mind!

Key words right there... I've seen a couple vids too and the visuals are great, the concept is brilliant, but thevoice acting can be very hammy at times (then again, which game is immune to this *shrug*).

Not sure about the whole comparison to Inception, because this one's a different take on it, being more to do with memory rather than thought process.

Still, I'm looking forward to it as it is, at least, different. *shrug* Though the lack of open world is rather disappointing... I'm thinking its level design is similar in scale to that of Dishonored so it may not all be that bad...

It's weird, I sometimes fantasize about games that I would like to be made and Remember Me seems very similar to what I have in mind. With that said I have 0 interest in this game, not even the hungry cyberpunk fan that festers in my bowels is compelling me to even think about buying it.

I'm more interested in it because of the linearity. I can't stand open world games. Too much time spend aimless wandering around looking for the next thing to do.

Supposing the level design gives an element of variety choice i.e. multiple ways to take a problem, I'd be fine.

1) Very clean for a cyber punk universe isn't it? Those sentry robots don't look scratched up at all and those clothes look... well... new.
That's why I said it was "close enough to the genre" ;)

Watch Dogs. I couldn't remember myself other than it had "Dogs" in the name, so I literally googled "whats that hacking game called dogs something" and found this [http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/06/07/hackers-paradise-ubisoft-on-watch-dogs/].

Erm...those features don't define cyberpunk. Although, I agree, they do show up often in more or less "a default" cyberpunk aesthetics.

I knew it wasn't about him, but the first thing that popped into my head was MBD when I read the title. I'm not the only one right? I did read something about this game a long time ago, I think, but nothing since.
