Maybe it's just me and my introverted-self, but even as I sit here hearing the doorbell ring and little kids shouting "Trick or treat!" it's still hard to believe that this is the same holiday that I used to get super-exited over ten years ago. Why am I on The Escapist instead of walking around the neighborhood getting candy while being bombarded with annoying questions? (Say it with me now: "WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE?") This feels like any other night, only with more noise. I mean yeah, I could go to a haunted house or Halloween party, but that's not the same as strutting about in a costume while gouging yourself with sweets.

Alright, this needs discussion value. What are you doing this Halloween, and what do you think of the holiday now that most of us are too old to trick or treat? (BTW, I can hear an owl hooting right now. That's fitting)

I made a Creeper helmet and met up with friends.

Then, we went to Target to get Starbucks. Real exciting Halloween. I miss being a little kid.

Thats what happens when you get older, you stop seeing the world as a child. Halloween hasn't changed, you just got older.

It sucks, because I miss the feeling as well :(

Now I see it as an indication to go shopping sometime in the next week, as thats when all the candy will be super-cheap. Just because your getting older doesn't mean you have to stop liking candy.

As for what I did, I went to a part with friends. It was fun. But I miss trick-or-treating...

Its got its pros and cons. I've been speaking Spanish to all the trick or treat-ers and messing with them. And then of course there a Halloween parties which are always crazy. Especially because my costume was just dropped off and it looks great.

Its still the same for me really. ((only 19))
Every year around this time i always get cheery and full of life((speaking in a dull dead tone)).

To be honest, it has changed alittle. I really just order some candy online ((blueberry saltwater taffy)) and stay in with a good horror movie((scilent hill)) or fear inducing game ((probably scilent hill)).

It was really cold out this year. The streets were dead by 8:30. For the past few years I've just handed out candy anyway, but there was next to no one brave enough to face the cold this year. It was just...blah. I guess my little sister had some fun though, the table's all full of candy now.

I think I wanted to do something with my friends, but I just wasn't really feeling it. I think my family noticed my downer mood too. I guess I need sleep or something. Working 7 days straight just sucks the life out of you. 8/

No. No I don't. That was a long time ago. Hallowe'en isn't "just another day" quite yet, but it's close.
