Remove one feature from an excellent game to make it awful

Saints Row - cheats.
Seriously, if anyone here has completed, or even enjoyed the first Saints Row without cheats, they must be some omnipotent being. That game is frustrating beyond words even with cheats. Even for me, no achievements is a very necessary sacrifice.
Grah...
But it's fun with them on. Apart from those goddamn sidemissions...
And most of the story missions...
Yeah, the sandbox is all that's good about it, really.

I disagree I played all the way through both games stories to the end[footnote]

well......I didnt beat the epilogue of the first game

[/footnote] without cheating once....AND THEN I did a 2nd character/playthrough and cheated it up like a boss.

Fallout - Humour.
Its a satirical deconstruction of mid 20th century ideas of the future with a whole bunch of cultural references and a healthy dose of fatalism. Take out the humour and its a deconstruction of mid 20th century ideas of the future designed to inspire wrist slitting.

They actually did that in Fallout 3. believe me I loved Fallout 3, so much i would do incredibly sick things in defence of it.
But it was also one of the most bleakest games i ever played. It was just so grey, and the only sort've humour in it was the DLC.
Fallout New Vegas did a good job in returning the humour.

Take away sliding from Mega Man 3. Instant crap as half the bosses have no way to avoid taking damage from them.

ehhhh it was nothing really...I actually enjoyed every just about every aspect of both games except for the optional collecting/tagging that could be done
