I remember when this game first game out. The demo proved fun for a while, but as your review mentions, wacky racing, unless you're really into it, can only sustain you for so long. The game had a solid premise but I don't believe it should have cost the amount it did, especially with the niggling faults that appeared to follow it from the Beta into the full release.

This review, while for the most part showing itself to be another one of your well written pieces, stumbles out of the gate a little in this case. While the debate and division of PC and console gaming is an interesting topic, outside of the little tidbit about racing games primarily being on the consoles seems a little irrelevant when it comes to the overall review. Basically looking at it as the build up to what you actually began reviewing it seems a little out of the place and even a little deceptive to the true nature of your review. I would advise either removing the entire first paragraph and repairing the second to act as your introduction or fusing the first two paragraphs into a single one with the basic idea of the second paragraph better integrated into the first one.

Other than that first little hiccup off the starting gate [Hah look at me and my racing related puns] the review's writing remains solid after that; once it gets into its stride, remaining on target and accurately reflecting on the game's strengths and flaws. The ample comparison of it and MarioKart works to give the reading audience something to look at and examine to get an idea of what the game is all about.

Image wise, the review again proves to have some issues. The first image, in my case appears to be broken and the image link not taking me to a related image. I personally am not a fan of the banner approach to dividing pictures, instead refer to the bordered, inline images allowing for a more clean and crisp look to reviews. Resizing the images would also be something I'd recommend as the large images, while amply breaking up the text as should be their purpose, take up too much space and draw attention away from the review.

Correct these few things and the review should be looking at its best.
