Removing a scratch from your LCD screen...

Well I bought a nice LCD screen from someone on craigslist yesterday, but there was this small and deep scratch that sort of annoyed me. So what I did was try to buff it out from instructions off of the web. The scratch is no longer there, but there is a small hole where the matte layer is buffed out. It's definitely not as noticeable as the deep scratch that was there before, but apparently some matte lacquer can fix it right up.

Should I leave it as it is, or go get some matte clear lacquer and try it out?

I would'nt know because i'm to poor to get a new tv. i guess you should look it up on the internet, like you're doing here, but on a lcd cleaning site.

I figured that since this is a video game influenced website, there must be someone that knows how to remove scratches or recover the matte layer on an LCD screen.
