Most people have the same opinion as far as i see, just different spins on it.

Its the same game, with slight improvements.
It is both rehashed and the best COD ever. You can view that as a good or bad thing, depending on just how much you like the franchise, how much money you have to waste on minor tweaks, etc.

There are games which are universally like by critics and the majority, then there are games which players really like but Critics don't, and there are games which critics like but the vast majority hate.

Modern Warfare 3 is the last of these.
