I won't searhc this up only to get to the point, we have all seen The "OH SH*T moments in games" topics or the "What would you do in a zombie apocalypse" topics, or even "why is two and a half men popular". Now these topic are all ones that people love. That is the route behind their repitition. And tehse sometimes will kill each other off due to when the new one appears taking the first's place. But why do we get angyr at this, if a 24 reply topic that was created 2 months ago is replaced by a newer 500 reply topic, who cares. The old one will never see the light of day again condemned to an eternal sewer level, and new escapies (term soon to be trademarked) should have the ability to visit these classic topics again. anyway what is your opinion, for or against repeat topics, voice what YOU think.

I don't mind if the topic is similar to a thread done a couple months ago. However in the past 72 hours I've seen 5 threads about wether you will get MW2 or Bad Company 2. That is why we get angry at repeat threads. Because the most overused threads are done around 50 times a week.

Pretty much this. I don't mind if they've been dead for a month or so, but when one is active and being posted in, it takes a bit of my anger out and puts it any one of my future posts.

Off-topic, nice avatar, maddawg.

This is hilarious, because a thread called "what is your favorite repeat thread" was made like 2 hours ago.

I don't mind repeat threads, provided there's at least a couple of months between 'em, but when you have 4-5 threads on the same topic IN ONE DAY that gets nauseating.

Same, only if the thread is still alive when it's repeated. Though one time I saw 2 'worst ideas in history' threads, at the same time, made by the same person! Unless someone necroed one of them.

This is pretty spot on. Right now I'm trying to learn how to block 'Left 4 Dead 2' from my vision through sheer willpower in preparation for when the release date alerts the thread horde.

Just a reminder, if you see a thread that's been repeated to death: contact a moderator.

The main reason is pisses me off is because it just shows that the idiot has not even followed basic netiquette and even tried to search for it. They just post some generic, crap, poorly thought out and for the most part poorly constructed topic just for the "joy" of getting lots of replies.
What really fucks me off is when they whine about all the people pointing out the dozens of repeat topics. They claim that we, the members who have been here for months at least, should just shut up and let these idiotic novices who just signed up have their own way.
Shit does not work like that. You join a established community, you obey their rules. They are under no obligation to change shit to accommodate your lazy ass.
huh, i guess i do sound a bit lazy, but all I mean is that we all have made our mistakes with a repeat thread, my first thread a G4 thread i later found to ahev been doen a hundred times more, i guess it is proper netiquette

yes, because this thread is definitely based on our favourite repeat threads, and its obviously not discussing them in general.

I'm only going to point out (for the irony) that this thread is itself a repeat of a repeat of a thread about repeat threads.

So, it's got that going for it, which is nice.
