Now this doesn't mean the bad kind, well it can be but maybe not.

I was talking to a buddy and we were going on about how the bloopers for most Jacky Chan comedy moves are greater than the movie itself then I started to think. In the Rush hour Series, Stanleigh Series, Austin Powers Series and numerous game series like Final Fantasy as the best example. Tend to use the same thing but in a different context.
Exmaples
Bigs and Wegde and Cid-FF8
Many jokes are redone in the Austin Power movies just done for some thing different
in Jacky Chan comedy movies he has a bad tendency of accidentally touching a girl without noticing that he is (he does this in many movies where he has no supporting actor"

But the question is, do you find this sort of thing annoying when movies or games do this? or do you find its good for it, also some funny or lame examples would be nice since i don't like to make long posts.

i hate repetition in levels where it looks like i have walked down the same corridor 20 times, and kill the same bosses hundreds of times, take slave zero for instance.

well, i really dont mind the repetition in austin powers movies, jackie chan movies, or video game characters. the only repetition that bothers me is the one i mentioned. and dont i mention how i feel, and dont i list an example?

I actually like the final fantasy type(the repetion mentioned in OP). As for the rest of the repetition in that series, not really the biggest fan but I can deal.

Never really noticed.

Except for the fact that in a lot of books and movies, they employ this really asshole maneuver where they create a completely amazing character that you couldn't possibly hate, have him befriend the protagonist, and then kill off the amazing character. You're sad, the protagonist is sad, so you sympathize with the protagonist more and start to care about his adventures.

I know it's a literary technique, but it's so overused it's sickening.
