Expect the next Zelda game to get held back in the same manner as Twilight Princess for the same reason.
Really? "Oh yeah they're releasing Dev Kits, you know, the thing needed to develop for a new system, like, almost a year before release! It makes Totes sense they will release it soon right?" Because rushing a console release and having nothing to show for it has worked so well every other time right? I doubt Nintendo is that ignorant of their (and everyone elses) past mistakes. Hell, I'd think Q2 2017 would be too early, but at least it's somewhat reasonable compared to 2016.Although not a promise, this could mean that we could be sitting at home with a brand new console in less than six months. Alongside the early debut of the Nintendo Account in Japan and the distribution of NX dev kits this year, the company is definitely making power moves for 2016.
Maybe if it turns out that those two games either aren't being released on the WiiU and are being released on the NX then everything will come together and make sense. Or if they have staggered versions with a greatly superior one being on the NX?cathou said:i would be very surprised that they get the NX outthat early. starfox and zelda are both due for Q1 or Q2 2016, historically, those IP have always help console sale, so they will surf on that. at e3 we will probably have a glimpse of the NX and it will come out in 2017
I hope they market it better, as a Wii U owner, Istill come across people that think the Wii U is just an addon for the Wii. I love the Wii U, but it's got shortcomings.Johnny Novgorod said:Would it be so amazing if they indeed released a new console this early, out of the blue? The Wii U practically had no marketing.
I agree.Covarr said:This doesn't sound right. They would've announced it by now if it were coming out in July. Unless they're trying to pull a Sega Saturn and announce it the same day it launches, because I guess that worked so well for Sega back in the '90s.
P.S. Thanks
