Capcom's major enemy for this is going to be spectacle creep. If they intend to make a game that feels remotely survival horror-y they're going to need the balls to actually release a sequel with FEWER guns and explosions than its predecessor, and turn away all of the new demographics they tried to rope in with 6 for the sake of creating a game that actually has a focused design plan.
If they manage to do this, I'll be genuinely impressed.
Of course if they don't I probably won't touch this new one.
