What if the main character is a dog? And the setting is The Mayflower?

That scenario is also acceptable.
So one of Desmond's ancestors macked with a dog?
Weirder things have happened.

Wait, this is news? Zavvi have had this game listed for the 3DS since soon after Brotherhood's release. If someone dropped the ball at Ubisoft, they dropped it months ago. I even remember reading a vague plot summary for it, something to do with Ezio venturing back to Masyaf to discover himself or the origins of the order or something (yeah I know, that sounds fake but looks like there was something right about it). This isn't really news. Just confirmation.

EDIT: Sorry, my bad. Zavvi have ANOTHER as yet unannounced Assassin's Creed 3DS title listed. The rabbit hole goes deeper. Or they changed, whatever.

Successfully macked with a dog. That is what is most important.

You'll play it and enjoy it anyway.

Whilst being cross at Ubisoft, anyway.

:)

I know I will enjoy it. Do what you want, Ubisoft. You have my trust. Don't break it.

Altair...

I can't help but think this game was designed to be safe than anything else.

Can't Ubisoft give us a break from Assassin's Creed for a year or two? Not every franchise has to become a cash-cow like CoD and milked every single year.

I was one of the few who didn't like Brotherhood for this very reason.

I really hope they bring back Altair ibn la Ahad. He's easily my favorite character in the series. Ezio is cool but his story arc wasn't nearly as interesting (story-wise, anyway. It was substantially more fun to play...).

Why does it say that people do not like Desmond? I like him. He is supposed to be a vessal to tie it all together.

No more Ezio. Give us more with Desmond, since you've set it up now. But it if is Ezio, and to deal with Altair, let him go back to Masyaf, to deal with something there. Then, give us a real game.

And I have a feeling this is going to be on the 3DS...

I'm not interested in continuing as Altaïr. Sure, he was a badass, but an interesting character? No. Maybe if they make him more interesting I'd consider buying it, but that would require a fairly major overhaul. I'd prefer if they just started with a new ancestor, or at least in a new location. Italy and the middle east have lost their charm as game locations for the series.

I'm just bored with the AC series by this point.
They need to explore other eras and places a bit more. As much as I love Renaissance Italy, its getting a little overused.
