Republic Commando Cannon or Non-cannon

I am currently having an argument with someone about the Republic Commando stories about whether they are cannon or not. I am saying that they are non-cannon because I have read that in so many different places. While he is going by the Star Wars wiki that has non-cannon articles marked off as non-cannon.

So can you help me out is Republic Commando Cannon or not cannon?

Anything that isn't the first two, and one half-of the third, movies is non cannon.

I have no idea what's going on with Star Wars canon these days. I've heard the Clone Wars TV series de-canonized most of the stuff in the Republic Commando novels, but I can't be sure because I've never watched the show myself.

Personally, I chose to believe they're canon. The books are too well written for me not to.
