Republic Commando - worth a buy?

For that price, it's worth it. It's a very nice game, but it's also very short and has no mod support or multiplayer. I recommend buying it for $5 or less.

It's more challenging than CoD and requires more thinking, but not like the Rainbow 6 games.

You give your squad orders based on context. For example: If you press the command key while pointing at a locked door, your squad will breach it, if you press it while pointing at an unmanned turret, a squad member will take control of it, etc.

Yes, it's worth a buy.

Like a lot of people have said, go for it. It's a terrific game and it relies on you playing it smart, rather than fast and loose. It deserves a sequel.

Yes, yes and yes!!
I absolutely loved the game, found it for 12? myself and would've easily paid the double price.
Only a little short but otherwise a very enjoyable game!
