Capcom really are seeing how long they can hold off putting any work into creating a new game. I don't think there has been any other publisher/developer in my memory of gaming this intent on shamelessly rehashing old guff for a quick buck and minimal effort. Has all their creative staff just abandoned them for greater heights, leaving only a few programmers and a dyslexic monkey with a rifle and a bag o' poo pellets? Bills need paying, monkey needs entertaining and possibly feeding.
Points finger at Square Enix.
OT I wish they will come out with a new game I will not play. I have not boycotted them its just none of the games they have released or re-released have grabbed my attention for more than 10 sec.

I'll probably pick them all up eventually. I'll use any excuse to play Resident Evil 4 again, 5 was great to play in co-op and 6 might actually have the most satisfying combat of them all.

You know, when I was a kid I got really uppity about Resident Evil 4. Its deviation from the series and the consequent direction it would take the series in. Then with more replays In realised how much better Resident Evil 4 played than previous games. I reached a point in my gaming life where it suddenly clicked that Resident Evil/Dino Crisis were only tense because of the arbitrary camera angles. Say what you like but Resident Evil Revelations proved that over the shoulder Resident Evil games can be tension packed horror games and that it the example Capcom should be using as they move ahead with the series, similar to the start of Leon's campain in 6.

All that being said, Capcom might be scraping the bottom of the barrel for re-releases now.

So one good game and two wastes of time if public opinion is anything to go by?
Personally I got a lot of mileage out of RE5, particularly if you play co-op. The problem is it followed RE4, widely regarded as a really good game. Couldn't tell you about 6 though, never got round to that one myself.

OT: why the hell are they releasing them in reverse order?! I don't even... what?
That is how I was too I played a ton of Resi 5 simply for the co-op alone.

Sigh, I'm much rather they made a decent RE7 than this. Plus RE6 should never be released again for any system!
