Resident evil 4 problem

I recently bought Resident evil 4 for my Gamecube and for some reason my Gamecube can't read the disc. The disc is perfectly clean and my Gamecube never did this for any other game I played. Can someone please help me.

Have you checked if it's PAL or NTSC? You might need to use a FreeLoader.

it's NTSC. It can still play but the thing is 1 minute into the game, it says The game disc cannot read.

just take the game back and get a new one. if you got it at gamestop they'll do it for free no questions asked.

Was it second hand? I take it it was, due to the fact that, to my knowledge, they don't make Gamecube games any more.

Disc might be scratched and just need a good clean. Some game stores usually have disc cleaners. My WaW disc got horribly scratched one and the xbox wouldn't even register the disc was in the tray. A Game shop near me cleaned it in their machine for about £3 and it worked perfectly, in fact it came out of the cleaner with literally no marks at all.

I take it other games play without this issue? If you haven't already, give it a good cleaning. There might be a film of something you can't see.

My only guess is its the laser, cause thats what one of my friends said was wrong and thats how he fixed it.
