It's taking for ages. It has been over an hour and I'm still at around 1/3 of the way. The DVD drive is really struggling with this DVD rom. I hope it doesn't break my drive. In the mean time I have played a little bit of Skyrim on Steam, a couple of Solitaire plays, I double-checked all my social media accounts for new messages, made a sandwitch, and still waiting, and waiting... The funny thing is that I don't even know for sure after all this insane waiting period that my game will actually work and that I will be able to could save in the game. You see it's a Games For Windows Live game. I think that's enough to justify my fears. I found it dirty cheap today in a store, 6 Euros and I decided to buy it. I already regreted it.
Anyway I thought that it was unusual for a game to take so much time, 1 and 1/2 hours to read the data from a dvd rom. Never happened to me before.
