Why does this look like it has the exact same problem as the original PC release? The lighting seems non-existent, yes I'm aware it's a GCN/PS2 release and things were a bit more limited back then but there WAS some sort of lighting effects, here everything is insanely bright, so what the hell is going on here?

So is this a re-porting of the HD releases put out on PS3 and Xbox360 with in-engine cutscenes and KB&M support? Or just a fancier looking PC release? Because Doom on any developer who ever releases a shitty port like that again.

...GOD that thing was atrocious...

I was seeing this like a desesperate move from Capcom to get away from the bankruptcy, if they solve the controlling problems, this will get an instabuy from the steam users. (Like that would be hard on the Steam Season sales)

Eh, while this is one of my favourite games of all time, I own it on the PS2 and PS3, and I don't see them adding anything, short of KMB that makes it different at this point. If it looked like TLoU, I would buy it in an instant, but a lot of the HD releases we're getting these days don't really look all that much better, and this is one of those...

The book would be cool, but not worth 20 bucks. I'll probably just go wipe the dust off my PS3 instead...

Seriously? Again?

Did 5 & 6 do so bad that you clutch at straws by bringing 4 back... again.

They already re-released this (after console releases for ps2 and xbox) with a PC version... and then with a Wii version... and then with a mobile version now they are selling it to us again?

They failed with their last attempt to port this properly to PC.

Oh, and in case I didn't say this word enough: AGAIN!?!?!?

As much as i want this ( i own RE4 for all platforms.) I need to know if it will include all the content form the PS2 version ?

Also, is it just me or does it look a little too "clean" it does not have the spooky grityness of the one of the gamecube and PS2. Still Sale = buy. But i tihnk i will boot up PS2 emulator for now and inject some nice AA and AF.

EDIT

I hope this can do a decent res and is not locked at 720p. i run at 2560 x 1440 and hope it will run at that.

And yes 0 to CV:X on pc would be nice, it cannot be that hard to improve the res on them pre rendered backgrounds

I have this game already and except for ala SF4 controller detection it's fine the way it is. RE1 remake/update for PC please. Preferably 2 and 3 as well.

Kinda milking it at this point aren't they?

Actually they were milking it when it came out for 360 and PS3...

Ok. Decided to install it and give it another bash. The controls desperately need a fix. On my Xbox 360 gamepad there are some horrible deadzones so much that I can't even turn and run simultaneously. Need to use the kb. The on screen quicktime events is also a minor annoyance since they don't display the controls buttons (referring again to SF4's awesome implementation)

PS: I am patched to 1.10
