Resistance 2 online issues

So I have played Resistance 2's campaign to death and decided to play some of the online game. The co-op and competitive are both some of the best online experiences that I have ever come across, but with one problem.
Disconnections. More or less every bloody round disconnects me from either the game or PSN. Other new games such as Motorstorm Pacific Rift rift work fine online without these issues.
With my online experience I can safely say that there is nothing wrong with the connection or PS3 if other games work online.
Anyone else noticed this problem? Any ways to fix it? Problem with the server maybe?

I have never experienced any of this that you mention.. And i've played quite a good couple of rounds.. Im in Europe, Norway though.. Works just fine here..

i've had this problem before with other games i fixed it by changing my nat type to nat type 1,R2 plays brilliantly online never any lag usually... check your internet connection setting to see what nat type you have and change it to Nat Type 1 if it isnt already

Thanks for the tip. Will try next time I play. I think I'm think I'm NAT type 2 at the moment.
